Gong Zhichao (Chinese: 龚智超; born December 15, 1977 in Anhua County, Central China's Hubei Province) is a female badminton player from the People's Republic of China.

Career

In 1998, she got the silver at the Asian Games in women's singles, losing to Kanako Yonekura of Japan in the final.

In 2000, she won the gold in the Summer Olympics, defeating Camilla Martin of Denmark in the final. However, her victory in the semifinal was not a fair play. The Chinese Team made a decision that Gong should go into the final, but not Ye Zhaoying, another player from China, because Gong had a better chance to defeat Martin at that time.
