Major roads of the Philippines

The North Luzon West Expressway is a 4-lane, 238.5-kilometer, limited-access toll expressway that is currently under construction on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. The construction involves 3 stages. Currently NLWE segment 1 is the only operational segment of this expressway which is Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway

The first leg of the expressway will begin in Hermosa in Bataan and from there it is called as "Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway" and was developed by the joint-venture of First Philippine Infrastructure Development Corporation, Tollways Management Corporation and Egis Projects. The second leg of the expressway will begin in La Paz in Tarlac and from there it is called as "Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway" and will be developed by Private Infra Development Corporation (PIDC). The third leg of the expressway will also begin in La Paz in Tarlac and from there it is called as "Tarlac-Nueva Ecija-Aurora Expressway" and is still under planning.

The project is under "Public-Private Partnership Program" of President Benigno Aquino III, but was began under the term of his predecessor, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
