This is a list of the main career statistics of Serbian professional tennis player Novak Djokovic.

Career Achievements

Djokovic holding his first Australian Open trophy during celebrations in Belgrade, Serbia in 2008

Djokovic reached his first grand slam quarterfinal at the 2006 French Open where he retired against defending champion, Rafael Nadal whilst trailing two sets to love. A year later, he reached his first grand slam semi-final at the 2007 French Open, where he lost to eventual champion Nadal in straight sets 5–7, 4–6, 2–6. Djokovic reached his first ever grand slam singles final at the 2007 US Open, but lost to World No. 1 Roger Federer in straight sets 6–7, 6–7, 4–6. Djokovic won his first grand slam singles title at the 2008 Australian Open after defeating Jo Wilfried Tsonga in the final in four sets 4–6, 6–4, 6–3, 7–6. By winning the Australian Open, Djokovic became the youngest player in the Open Era to have reached the semi-finals or better at all four Grand Slam events. To date, Djokovic has won 28 career singles titles, including three Grand Slams, one year-ending championship, and 10 ATP Masters Series 1000 titles. He has finished runner-up in six other ATP Masters Series 1000 finals.

Djokovic won his first year-ending championship by defeating Nikolay Davydenko in the final of the 2008 ATP World Tour Finals. After a quarterfinal finish at the 2010 Australian Open, Djokovic attained a new career-high singles ranking of World No. 2. In February 2010, he completed a successful title defense for the first time in his career by winning his second consecutive title at the 2010 Dubai Tennis Championships. He reached his third career Grand Slam singles final at the US Open later that year, where he lost to World No. 1 Rafael Nadal in four sets 4–6, 7–5, 4–6, 2–6.

In January 2011, Djokovic defeated World No. 2 Roger Federer in the semifinals of the Australian Open to reach his second final at the event. This win makes Djokovic the only player other than Rafael Nadal to have defeated Federer in consecutive grand slams. Djokovic is also the only player to have defeated Federer in more than one Grand Slam semifinal, with three wins over the Swiss. Djokovic went on to win his second Grand Slam singles title by defeating Andy Murray in the final in straight sets 6–4, 6–2, 6–3, snapping a three match losing streak against the Scot. He won his third consecutive title at the Dubai Tennis Championships defeating Federer in the final 6–3, 6–3. In Indian Wells, Djokovic defeated Rafael Nadal for the first time in a singles final defeating the Spaniard 4–6, 6–3, 6–2 to win the 2011 BNP Paribas Open, his first ATP Masters Series 1000 singles title since 2009. He beat Nadal again two weeks later, this time in the final of the 2011 Sony Ericsson Open winning 4–6, 6–3, 7–6 in the final. With the latter victory, Djokovic became only the seventh player in history to win both Indian Wells and Miami in the same year. The first of these was Jim Courier in 1991 and Roger Federer was the last to achieve this feat in 2005 and 2006.

He headed into the clay court season undefeated since the start of the season—only the 3rd player in history to achieve this after Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi. Djokovic defeated Rafael Nadal in the finals of the 2011 Mutua Madrid Open and 2011 Rome Masters, and thus extended his winning streak since the start of the year to 37 matches. Djokovic's 43 match winning streak was ended in the semi-finals of the 2011 French Open as he suffered a four set loss to World No. 3 Roger Federer, losing 6–7, 3–6, 6–3, 6–7. The loss also prevented Djokovic from succeeding Rafael Nadal as the World No. 1.

At the 2011 Wimbledon Championships, Djokovic defeated twelfth seeded Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the semi-finals in four sets 7–6, 6–2, 6–7, 6–3, recovering from a break down in the first set to reach his first Wimbledon final and thus ensured that he would become the World No. 1 for the first time in his career, regardless of Nadal's performance in the final. Djokovic went on to defeat Nadal for the fifth consecutive time this season, in the final, winning 6–4, 6–1, 1–6, 6–3, to win his first Wimbledon title and his third grand slam singles title.
