The Peter Principle (TV series)

The Peter Principle is a BBC television show about a branch of the fictional County and Provincial Bank. It is now a part of the PBS program lineup at some PBS stations, which call it The Boss. The program takes its name from the Peter Principle, that "In a hierarchy every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence."

:Jim Broadbent as Peter Duffley, an inept bank manager who somehow manages to stay in his job.:Claire Skinner as Susan Harvey, the assistant manager who manages to hold things together.:David Schneider as Bradley, a not very smart employee who is always willing to follow Peter.:Janette Legge as Iris, Peter's eccentric secretary.:Stephen Moore as Geoffrey, an employee with a dry sense of humor.:Tracy Keating as Brenda.:Daniel Flynn as David, the regional manager, who wants to have an affair with Susan even though he is married.
