Official National Lampoon Car Stereo Test and Demonstration Tape was a comedy album in casette tape format which was put out by National Lampoon magazine in 1980. The album was a follow up to the Official National Lampoon Stereo Test and Demonstration Record, which was released in 1974. The tape is however a different album, consists of completely new material.

Both albums were parodies of stereo test and demonstration recordings, which were used by hi-fi enthusiasts to test the performance limits of their audio systems. Both albums also functioned as real stereo tests. The car stereo test album was supposedly intended to test the performance of a car stereo system based on a cassette tape player.

Both albums were conceived and written by Ed Subitzky. Both albums had extensive humorous liner notes that were also conceived and written by Subitzky.

The cassette tape was packaged as part of a "kit", in a box which also included head cleaner, used to maintain the heads of the tape deck in good condition (important to hi-fi enthusiasts). An advertisement for the Official National Lampoon Car Stereo Test and Demonstration Tape ran in the July 1980 issue of National Lampoon magazine.
