Omaha Streetcar

Omaha Streetcar is a nonprofit organization in Omaha, Nebraska composed of individuals, organizations, institutions, businesses, and public agencies. The mission of the organization is to encourage the installation and usage of streetcars and other forms of urban transit in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area and to promote them as a transportation alternative with economic, environmental, and social benefits.

Founded in 2004, the organization's work has resulted in a partnership between the City of Omaha and several private organizations, including the funding of several studies. In December 2008, an implementation study was funded in partnership between the City of Omaha and a civic organization called Heritage Services.
