Order (subtitled "A Journal on the Theory of Ordered Sets and its Applications") is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal on order theory and its applications, published by Springer Science+Business Media. It was founded in 1984 by University of Calgary mathematics professor Ivan Rival;[1][2] as of 2010, its editor in chief is Dwight Duffus, the Goodrich C. White Professor of Mathematics & Computer Science at Emory University and a former student of Rival's.[3]
According to the Journal Citation Reports, the 2009 impact factor of Order is 0.408, placing it in the fourth quartile of ranked mathematics journals.[4]
