Lloyd Crossley

Owen Thomas Lloyd Crossley (b 30 April 1860 - d 3 March 1926) was the 4th Anglican Bishop of Auckland for a short period during the second decade of the 20th century^[1]. Educated at the Belfast Academy and Trinity College, Dublin ^[2] he began his ecclesiastical career with a curacy at Sea Patrick County Down ^[3]. Incumbencies at Egremont^{[disambiguation needed ][4]} and Almondbury^[5] were followed by a period as Archdeacon of Geelong before he was elevated to the episcopate in 1911. Ill health prompted his return from New Zealand two years later ^[6] and he served the remainder of his career as Rector of St Andrew's Major near Cardiff^[7]. He died in a road accident^[8].
