The Ōyodo River (大淀川 Ōyodo-gawa?) is a river which runs through Kagoshima and Miyazaki prefectures in Japan. The river ultimately empties in the Pacific Ocean. In some towns along the route, the river is also known as the Akae River (赤江川 Akae-gawa?) and the Saru River (左流川 Saru-gawa?).[citation needed]
