George Child Villiers, 6th Earl of Jersey

George Child Villiers, 6th Earl of Jersey

George Augustus Frederick Child Villiers, 6th Earl of Jersey (April 4 1808 – October 24 1859), was an English peer, the son of George Child Villiers, 5th Earl of Jersey.

He was Member of Parliament for Rochester 1830–1831, Minehead 1831–1832, Honiton 1832–1835, Weymouth & Melcome Regis 1837–1842 and Cirencester 1844–1852.

He married Julia Peel, daughter of the Prime Minister, Sir Robert Peel, on 12 July 1841. They had two children:

* Julia Sarah Alice Child Villiers (d. 1921)
* Victor Albert George Child-Villiers, 7th Earl of Jersey (1845–1915)
