Types of Builders

There are many styles of builders in the world but the main two types of categories are residential builders and commercial builders. Residential builders are builders that deal with the domestic home market. There are new house builders and they build new homes from plans that they already have or that they are given from the public. Most residential builders will specialise in either new homes or renovation. Renovation, extenstion, alternation building work is more like guess work to the builder as most of the time builders will be given an idea or task to do but without exactly knowing what is behind each wall as the owner generally has not got the original plans of the house from when it was first built. New house builders will generally be defined as either a custom home builder, prestige home builder, a project home builder, design and build company or even a kit home builder. If you looking to build a prestige home and would want the builder to manage the project all for you then you will be needing one of these types builders. If you want to buy a kit home and you want manage the build yourself then you will be needing a kit home building company that supplies the kit to you and you will be a owner builder.Then there are the removable home builder. These are people that move a exisitng house from one site to another. Commercial builders generally do not have owner builders. These builders may have some plans already available however most will quote per plan that is provided to them. Commercial buildere can build a range buildings depening on their type of licence. This can range from single offices buildings to unit complexs with many over 50 floors and hundreds of units.
