Association football in Western Australia

Association football (soccer) in Western Australia is controlled by Football West. Perth Glory represents the state in the A-League. The first association football organisation was the Western Australian British Football Association, established in 1896. Football West was formed in 2004. That organisation is responsible for organising the West Australian domestic competition and junior teams within that state. Football West's premier competition is the Western Australia State League.

National Representation

Perth Glory FC, who are not operated by the Football West, are the only team in Western Australia to compete in the national A-League.
