Candy Loving (born Candis Loving on September 4, 1956 in Oswego, Kansas) is an American model. In addition to her Bond girlesque name, she was "Playboy" 's Playmate of the Month for the January 1979 issue, which made her "Playboy's" 25th Anniversary Playmate. Her centerfold was photographed by Dwight Hooker.

Biography

Candy Loving graduated from Ponca City High School in Ponca City, Oklahoma and was planning to attend the University of Oklahoma as a journalism major when her husband (now divorced) urged her to submit her photo to "Playboy's" 25th Anniversary Great Playmate Hunt.

Upon winning, she became part of a whirlwind promotional tour that included a second pictorial for the August 1979 issue. Hugh Hefner has credited Candy with helping to revitalize the image of the Playmate as the "girl next door".

She later earned her bachelor's degree and pursued a graduate degree in human relations. She moved to Florida in 1984, where she now works in the health insurance industry.

Filmography

*Candy Loving appeared in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories" (1980). Though "Playboy" made much of the fact that she auditioned for Allen, her part was a five-second, dialogue-free walk-on. She was cast with a small part as Tony Roberts' girlfriend, and also at least one scene with Allen himself. This scene was later cut from the movie, leaving her with only the walk-on scene at the end.
