USS Dace

USS Dace

Two submarines of the United States Navy have borne the name "Dace", for any of several small North American fresh-water fishes of the carp family.

*The USS "Dace" (SS-247), a "Gato"-class submarine, saw action during World War II.
*The USS "Dace" (SSN-607), a "Permit"-class submarine, patrolled during the Cold War.
