Garscadden

Garscadden (Gaelic: "Gart Sgadan" [ [http://www.theglasgowstory.com/story.php?id=TGSAG TheGlasgowStory - Early times to 1560 - Neighbourhoods ] ] ) is a district in the Scottish city of Glasgow. It is situated north of the River Clyde. It lies between Yoker to the west, Scotstoun to the east and Knightswood to the north. It has a train station close to Knightswood shopping centre and Yoker Railway Depot. There is an old Scots saying, "As gash as Garscadden". It means very pale in complexion. This comes from the story of the Laird of Garscadden who died at a party and nobody noticed.

Garscadden railway station is on the Argyle Line.
