While there, she reported fromModesto ,California on theScott Peterson trial.She most recently worked for CNN as a national correspondent, based in
Washington, D.C. . In September2005 , Das filed reports from parts ofMississippi ravaged byHurricane Katrina , and provided custom live reports for local stations affiliated with CNN Newsource.She is currently freelancing at
