Loraine Hutchins is a bisexual feminist author, activist and sex educator.

She is the co-editor with Lani Ka'ahumanu of the groundbreaking anthology, "" (Alyson, [1991] ). Recent articles appear in Firestein's 2008 book, "Becoming Visible: Counseling Bisexuals Throughout the Lifespan" (Columbia University Press), and Herdt/Howe's "21st Century Sexualities: Contemporary Issues in Health, Education and Rights" (Routledge, 2008).

Hutchins is one of the co-founders of BiNet USA and of the Alliance of Multicultural Bisexuals (AMBi) in Washington, DC.

In 2001 she earned her Cultural Studies Doctorate in Queer Feminist Sacred Sexualities from the Union Institute & University. She currently teaches Intro to Women's Studies, Intro to LGBT Studies, Women's Health, and Health Issues in Sexuality at two different campuses in the Washington, DC area.
