In Nestor, a titanium star-like frame houses the "eyes" of the telescope, which are glass balls containing
photomultiplier tubes. The frames are positioned on the sea floor to reduce the noise produced in the telescope by cosmic rays. Many frames compose a Nestor tower. Thus far one frame has been deployed, and the program is active.See also
