Keane

Keane is an Irish surname derived from "Ó Catháin", also rendered as "O'Cahan", "O'Kane", "Keane", "Kean", "Kane", "Cain" and "McCain".Fact|date=March 2007. A study by scientists at Trinity College offers support for claims that Ó Catháin's are descended from 5th century Irish king Niall of the Nine hostages, or, at least, paternally related to other families believed to be his descendants.
