Cecil Park is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Cecil Park is located 40 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Liverpool and is part of the Greater Western Sydney region.

History

Cecil Park was originally home to the Cabrogal people who occupied much of the greater Fairfield area. When European exploration of the area began in the early 1800s, a nearby range was named Cecil Hill and this in turn inspired the name Cecil Park. The first white settler in Cecil Park was Simeon Lord. Demographics

At the 2006 Australian census, Cecil Park had a population of 639 which included a significant Italian community. Nine percent of the population was born in Italy and 18% spoke Italian at home. A clear majority of the suburb (62%) professed to be Catholics.
