Active from 1963 to 1971, Aldridge played for the Packers during theVince Lombardi dynasty in Green Bay, playing a role in Packer victories in Super Bowls I and II. Traded to theSan Diego Chargers , Aldridge played two seasons in San Diego before retiring from professional football in 1972.After retiring, Aldridge worked as sports analyst in Milwaukee until manifesting a mental illness called
paranoid schizophrenia during the early seventies. Homeless for a time, he eventually reached a form of equilibrium, working as an advocate for the homeless and mentally ill until his death in 1998.External links
