"God of Emptiness" is single by death metal band Morbid Angel from their 1993 album, " Covenant". The song's lyrical content concerns the false teachings of Christianity. The first verse begins with a deep vocal announcing "lies, and you fill their souls" and further explains "with all oppressions of this world." The lyrics continue with a skepticismal attitude towards Christian dogma a few minutes into the song, which describes "I'll take your soul and you'll be like me" to then assert "in emptiness." Thus, "God of Emptiness" is divided into two parts: Part I: The Accuser, and Part II: The Tempter. Korn might include their version on Korn Kovers.

Music video

The "God of Emptiness" music video features a man becoming a demonic being in a sort of secret room of prayer, in a temple, before being worshiped. The video aired on "Beavis and Butthead" and "Headbangers Ball" in the 1990s. In the "Beavis and Butthead" segment, Beavis imitates the vocal line "bow to me faithfully" and "bow to me splendidly."

The single and video versions of the song edit out the guitar solo from the album version.
