Alonza Benjamin Bumbry (born April 21 1947 Fredericksburg, Virginia) is a former Major League Baseball outfielder who played for the Baltimore Orioles and San Diego Padres from 1972 to 1985.

Bumbry was voted the American League Rookie of the Year in 1973 with the Orioles and was elected to the American League All-Star team in 1980. He was the outfield/baserunning coach for the York Revolution(2007) .

His son, Steve, plays for the Virginia Tech Hokies.

In 2002, was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.
