Gravel bar

Gravel bar

A gravel bar is a hydrogeologic sediment composed of gravel, and is prone to continuous erosion and meandering due to fluid dynamics. Gravel bars are typically found in the slowest moving, and shallowest parts of water bodies. One example is Oodaaq, which is often argued to be the northernmost point in the world.
