Piccadilly Records

Piccadilly Records

:"This page refers to the record label. For other uses see Piccadilly (disambiguation)"

Piccadilly Records was formed by Pye Records in the early 1960s as an outlet for new acts, including Joe Brown & the Bruvvers, Clinton Ford, The Rockin' Berries, Sounds Orchestral and, later on, the The Ivy League who metamorphosed into the Flower Pot Men, famous for their Summer of Love anthem "Let's Go to San Francisco" (which actually appeared on Deram Records). Piccadilly Records is also known for being the host label to one of the most cutting-edge bands of the 1960s, The Sorrows.

It was closed in the 1970s together with Pye Golden Guinea Records, and was replaced by Dawn Records.
