The Technique ", proclaims that one of the 99 things every Tech student should do before they graduate is, "Eat at Junior's (and wonder why Tommy isn't in charge of all campus dining)." The most popular items are the chicken fingers and burgers in "baskets," which means they come with a choice of side (usually french fries) and a soft drink. In addition, there is a traditional hot line that serves breakfast and lunch items. Junior's is open from 7:30am to 7:30pm Monday through Thursday, 7:30am to 2:30pm on Friday, and is closed on Saturday and Sunday.Tradition
For Georgia Tech students, Junior's Grill is as important, if not more so, than
The Varsity . Most students don't usually discover Junior's Grill until their second year, but once they do, they will return.cite news|first=Joshua|last=Cuneo|url=http://www.nique.net/issues/2004-08-27/focus/1|title=Junior’s struggles to match competition|work=The Technique |date=2004-08-27|accessdate=2007-03-12] Both Junior's and The Varsity are listed asGeorgia Institute of Technology traditions, but Junior's Grill has higher-quality food. While not as important as other Tech traditions such as "stealing the T" or the rivalry with theUniversity of Georgia , Junior's is cherished by those who have discovered it.References
