Sean Michael Ervine (born 6 December, 1982 in Harare) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He played on the Midlands cricket team in Zimbabwe and represented the Zimbabwe national team in five Tests and 42 One Day Internationals. But he was one of several cricketers in dispute with the Zimbabwe Cricket Union in 2004, and he left the country to play for Hampshire in England and for Western Australia. Ervine has declared that he will not return to play for Zimbabwe and following excellent form for Hampshire from 2005, and some recent breakthroughs for Western Australia, Ervine has announced that he will seek to qualify for either English or Australian international representation in the near future.
