Fryerning is a village in south Essex. It is situated just north of Ingatestone.It is home to many rather wealthy footballers and former cricketers including Graham Gooch and Robin Hobbs.

The Parish Church is St. Mary the Virgin in Blackmore Road. It dates from the 11th century, with a 15th century brick tower.
