Anita Doth

Anita Doth (born Anita Daniëlle Doth on 28 December 1971 in Amsterdam) [ [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0234526/bio Anita Doth - Biography ] ] is a Dutch singer, best known for her participation in the Eurodance group 2 Unlimited.

Doth was born in Amsterdam to Rolf and Lydia Doth. [ [http://www.candid-celebs.com/Anita-Doth.htm Anita Doth Wallpaper ] ] In 1991 she finished her education and landed her first steady job in an administrative position at a police station.

Together with Ray Slijngaard, she formed the group 2 Unlimited. In the early 1990s, Ray Slijngaard (the soon-to-become techno-rapper of 2 Unlimited) had been asked to write rap lyrics for a tune written by Belgian producers J.P. de Coster and Phil Wilde. Ray also wrote a chorus to be sung by a female vocalist, for which he asked Doth to sing the lyrics. The demo was presented to de Coster and Wilde, leading to Doth joining 2 Unlimited.

Throughout the 2 Unlimited years, Doth sang the choruses for all their songs. The band became an instant success in Europe and throughout the world. Their hits included songs such as "Get Ready For This", "No Limit", "Tribal Dance", "Twilight Zone", "Maximum Overdrive" and "Workaholic".

After sixteen music videos, forty-five songs, and four albums, the group split up in 1996. Their last release was "Spread Your Love".

After 2 Unlimited

After 2 Unlimited, Doth joined the Dutch TMF ("The Music Factory") Music television station to host "Welcome the Pleasure Zone" [ [http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/2-Unlimited-Biography/4FF5252C5C9F5F1D48256831000D4F71 2 UNLIMITED BIOGRAPHY ] ] , a TV show with music videos, live performances, and dancers from the dance scene. Doth also worked as a DJ on Dutch radio station Radio 538 [ [http://www.hollandrocks.com/jump/bio/bz163.html Dutch Rock & Pop Institute ] ] , before starting her solo career in 1997.

In 2000, she duetted with popular Dutch singer René Froger in "That's When I'll Stop Loving You". [ [http://www.lyricsvault.net/charts/dutchtop1997.html LyricsVault: Dutch Top singles of 1997 ] ]

In 2002, "Divas Of Dance", was formed: apart from Doth herself, the trio consists of Linda Estelle (formerly T-Spoon) and Desiree "Des'Ray" Manders (former lead singer of Eurodance project "2 Brothers On The 4th Floor", mostly known for "Dreams (Come Alive)"). They go on stage with a variety of old dance classics, not factoring out 2 Unlimited songs, of course.

In June 2004 she gave a solo performance of "No Limit" on German TV station ZDF. In 2000 she released a solo album, "Reality", using her first name as her artist name. Singles taken from the album include "Universe", "Lifting up My Life", and "This Is Reality".

She has one child, a son named Destyno (b. 20 April 2005) [ [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0234526/bio Anita Doth - Biography ] ] , with her boyfriend Willy de Leon Agramonte.
