Southington High School is a public high school located at 720 Pleasant Street in Southington, Connecticut.
It is the only high school located in the town of Southington.

This is the mission statement as it appears on the Southington High School website:

"Southington High School fosters a safe, respectful, and caring learning environment that provides students of diverse abilities and interests with a challenging curriculum that actively engages learners. Our comprehensive program, driven by clearly communicated learner expectations and aligned with state and national performance standards prepares students to be informed, responsible, and productive citizens."

Athletics

Southington High School Athletics are directed by former NCAA Champion Assistant UConn Soccer coach Eric Swallow.The Blue Knights have clinched over 15 state championships since 1990.
Southington competes in the CCC North division, which consists of Glastonbury High School, Manchester High School, Simsbury High School, New Britain High School, and East Hartford High School.

Knight Krew

The Knight Krew is the student cheering section that attends numerous sporting events including all of the home boys' basketball and volleyball games, among others. The Knight Krew has upwards of 150 members, and the highest turnout for a single game was about 130 on opening night of the '07-'08 basketball season.

Some of the chants the Knight Krew is known for throughout the state are "We Are! Blue Knights!", Stop-Drop-Rumble, the Blue Knight Beat, and "Boom-chicka-boom."

The Knight Krew originated during the 2003-2004 basketball season when Tom Lombardi and fellow seniors John Chiero, Larry Aviatable, and Matt Collins obtained sponsors to donate money to purchase shirts for the fan club.

"The Emblem" is Southington High School's student newspaper. Six issues are published throughout the year. Included in the six is a Senior Issue, which contains features such as a "Class Will", "Where I Will Be In 30 Years", and "Class Memories." The Advisor is Joseph Cipollini, the current Editor in Chief is Kali Kopka, and the current Managing Editor is Sean Soltys. Starting early in 2008 the Southington High School Mass Communication Department started a news program called the "Southington K Factor". The anchors are William Kemp and Joseph Pfeffer, along with field correspondent Sean Soltys. "The Southington K Factor" had its first show on Wednesday March 19, 2008. Guests to the show were David Germano and Thomas Horanzy.The Southington K Factor also had Candance Patten and also Brandon McGourn . The K Factor comes on on Wednesdays at 7pm on Southington's local channel 16.

PCB Scare

In September of the 2000-2001 school year, the motor that runs the school's clocks exploded in the basement of Southington High School.
