"Solid Ball of Rock" is the tenth studio album by heavy metal band Saxon released in 1991 (see 1991 in music).

Interestingly, five of the 11 tracks on "Solid Ball of Rock" were written by new bassist Nibbs Carter, who co-wrote an additional three songs. This album is the band farthest departure from its original riff-heavy heavy metal sounds and features an almost glam rock inspired hard rock tinge.
