Clackmannan Football Club was a Scottish football club based in Clackmannan. It was a member of the Scottish Football League in two spells, both during the 1920s.[1]

History
The club was formed in 1885, folded in 1904 and reformed 1907. Most of their existence was in various non-league competitions. Their league history within the more senior competitions is as follows:

Clackmannan inflicted Dunfermline Athletic's record defeat, 17–2 in the Midland League in 1891.
Clackmannan joined the Second Division of the Scottish League for the 1921–22 season when the Central League clubs formed most of this division.[1] It was unrealistic for a town of only 3,000 people to sustain a league club.[2] They finished bottom, and withdrew for a year to the Eastern League.[1] Dundee Hibernian also fell out of the Scottish League at this time.[3]
The club attempted to rejoin the Second Division for the 1923–24 season, but an overly optimistic campaign for election to the division was unsuccessful.[3] Clackmannan instead gained admission to the new Third Division.[1]
They played for three seasons in the Third Division without distinction.[1] In their last season of Scottish League football (1925–26) they would have finished bottom had Galston not withdrawn halfway through the season. Indeed, the whole division folded at the end of 1925–26, having proved unsustainable due to financial difficulties.[1] This also ended the club's membership of the League.[1]
Clackmannan appeared in the Scottish Cup on several occasions, mostly in the 1920s, with their last appearance in 1931–32. The club must have folded soon after this. During this period at least, they got past the first round (last 64 in those days) on only one occasion, and even this was after the withdrawal of an opponent.
Between 1962 and 1995, another club called Clackmannan F.C. played Junior football in the Fife League, without enjoying much success.

Clackmannan's ground at least during the Scottish League days was Chapelhill Park.

Colours
The club played in blue and white hoops throughout its existence.
