Arriva Fox County is a bus company operating in Leicester and Leicestershire. It is part of Arriva Midlands.

History

Arriva Fox County was formed in 1981, as Midland Red East with the breakup of the old Midland Red bus company, and then became known as Midland Fox in 1984.

In late 2006, a new "Leicester Linx" brand was introduced for services in Leicester.

Following the opening of the Highcross Centre there were some changes to bus services and stops.

Depots

Arriva has depots in Leicester, Coalville, South Wigston, Hinckley and Swadlincote (which is used for the X2 plus 217 & 218 Sunday services)

Routes

Arriva Fox County run services across the Leicester area plus services to/from Loughborough, Coalville, Hinckley, Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough, and Burton upon Trent.

In Leicester, Arriva run most of its services from St. Margaret's Bus Station with some journeys commencing/terminating in Charles Street. Other bus services use the Haymarket Bus Station, Haymarket, St. Peter's Lane, Causeway Lane and Humberstone Gate as its main city centre stops.

Star Trak

Services 6, 27, 28, 28A, 28B, 31, 31A, 44, 44A, 47, 48, 49, 49A, 84, 84A, 85, 127, 152 and 153 have been fitted with Star Trak, which tells you when the next bus arrives at your bus stop.

PlusBus

Arriva Fox County is part of the Plusbus scheme from Leicester railway station.
