Terry Molloy

Terry Molloy (born 1947) is an English actor known predominantly for his work on radio and television.

Molloy has been a member of the cast of BBC Radio 4's "The Archers" playing Mike Tucker since 1973 and has won awards for his work as an actor on radio.

On television, Terry is perhaps best known for his role in the long-running science fiction series "Doctor Who" as the mad scientist, Davros, the creator of the Daleks, in the stories "Resurrection of the Daleks", "Revelation of the Daleks" and "Remembrance of the Daleks". Molloy also appeared in the "Doctor Who" story "Attack of the Cybermen" as an undercover policeman named Russell. In recent years, Terry has reprised the role of Davros both in the Big Finish Productions audio dramas "Davros", "The Juggernauts" and "Terror Firma" (and the miniseries "I, Davros") plus a stage production of "The Trial of Davros" in 2005.

Molloy regularly attends "Doctor Who" conventions and events, where he meets fans and speaks about his time on the programme.

He has also recently appeared on BBC 7 in the role of Professor Edward Dunning opposite fellow "Doctor Who" actor Nicholas Courtney in "The Scarifyers" audio series, from Cosmic Hobo Productions.

In the 1960s, Terry played saxophone in a soul band and appeared at the world famous Cavern Club in Liverpool.

Molloy currently lives in Bawburgh, near Norwich.

It was heavily rumoured that Terry would reprise his role as Davros at the ending of the fourth series of the new "Doctor Who". Interest was fueled even more so at the release of a "mid-series" trailer on 24 May 2008 [ [http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/s4/videos/?episode=S4_08&character=&action=videostream&playlist=/doctorwho/playlists/s4_08/video/s4_08_trl_02.xml&video=1&date=&summary=A%20special%20preview%20of%20what's%20to%20come%20from%20the%20rest%20of%20Doctor%20Who%20Series%204.&info=&info2] (Only available to residents of the United Kingdom)] which featured a Davros-like silouette at the end of the trailer. Davros returned in the second to last episode, played by actor Julian Bleach.
