Pacific Oaks College is located in Pasadena, California, United States.

Pacific Oaks College is a learning institution that is training students not only to be professionals but advocates. Its anti-bias curriculum has created strong efforts to challenge social injustice and point out issues related to social changes, human development, and child development. Respect for diversity and individual values are the basic concepts of Pacific Oaks’ educational philosophy.

Pacific Oaks College offers degree programs designed for the working adult. Classes are offered in a variety of formats: daytime, evenings, weekends, online and week-long. In addition, several degree programs are offered in a "cohort" model, where a group of students are admitted and move through the program together.

The Faculty of Pacific Oaks gives priority to the development of students, providing individual attention and assisting students in focusing on and achieving their professional goals. Classes are small and interactive. Everyone in the classroom is considered both learner and teacher, with life experience to contribute. Issues of social justice, of equity and fairness, of diversity in all of its manifestations, are themes emphasized in the curriculum.

The college itself offers a variety of degrees ranging from a Bachelor's of Arts in Human Development, Master's of Arts in Human Development, Marriage, Family and Child Counseling, Multiple Subject Teacher Education, and Teacher Education for Special Education for Mild to Moderate Disabilities. Each program offers an array of areas students may choose to specialize in.

Pacific Oaks College's main campus in Pasadena, CA is located right next to a National Historic Landmark - The Gamble House. Its Eureka campus where most classes are hosted is about one mile (1.6 km) north of Old Town Pasadena.
