Empty Force

Empty Force

Empty Force is the description some martial art schools use to describe a technique where a practitioner uses Qi or "Nei jin" to project it from his/her hand to an opponent at a distance (not touching the opponent), knocking the opponent down. The Chinese name for this is Ling kong jing. The technique, said to be cultivated through Qigong, is believed by many martial artists to be mostly fictional. It is seen in many video games, anime, and wuxia martial arts films, such as "Legend Of The Condor Heroes", where the move "the eighteen dragon's subduing palms" is used, seen to have toppled a foe three feet away.
