The myrtle-leaved orange ("C. aurantium, var. myrtifolia" (Ker-Gawl)) is a variety of "Citrus aurantium" with foliage similar to that of the common myrtle.

It is a compact shrub or tree with small leaves and no thorns. The fruits of the tree are sour or bitter, and are commonly called by their Italian name, chinotto.
