Dig Me Out is the third album by punk group Sleater-Kinney. The album was released on April 8, 1997.[4]

Marlene Goldman, in Rolling Stone, has described it as the album that "defined the band's sound."[5] In 2005 it was ranked #24 in Spin's "100 Greatest Albums, 1985-2005". In 2008, the song "Dig Me Out" was ranked #44 in Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Guitar Songs of All Time".[6]

The album was the band's first release on the Kill Rock Stars label, and marked the debut of drummer Janet Weiss.[7] Its cover is an homage to The Kinks' 1965 album The Kink Kontroversy.

The song "One More Hour" was released as a single on 1 June 1998.[8] Through its London branch, Matador Records released the single to the European market exclusively.[9] Pressings were made in vinyl and CD formats, and both formats have "I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone" as the B-side.[10] The CD version includes a third song, "Don't Think You Wanna", which was originally released two years previously on the band's debut album, Sleater-Kinney.
