Viscount Eversley

Viscount Eversley

Viscount Eversley, of Heckfield in the County of Southampton, was a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1857 for Charles Shaw-Lefevre on his retirement as Speaker of the House of Commons. The viscountcy became extinct on his death in 1888. However, the Eversley title was revived in 1906 when Shaw-Lefevre's nephew George was created Baron Eversley, a title which became extinct on the latter's death in 1928.
