Carillion plc (lse|CLLN) is a British-based construction-services business headquartered in
Wolverhampton, West Midlands. It is listed on the London Stock Exchangeand is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.
Carillion undertakes a range of construction projects, including roads and hospitals, and also provides facilities-management services. Most of its business is in the United Kingdom, but it also operates in several other regions, such as
Canadaand the Middle East.
Carillion has been consistently profitable since its launch in 1999. Turnover in 2007 was £3,952m and profit before tax and exceptional items was £101.8m.
