Kasa-obake

nihongo|Karakasa|唐傘|extra="Chinese umbrella", or Kasa Obake, are a type of Tsukumogami, a form of Japanese Spirit that originate from objects reaching their 100th year of existence, thus becoming animate. Karakasa in particular are Spirits of Parasols (umbrellas) that reach the century milestone. They are typically portrayed with one eye, a long tongue protruding from an open mouth, and a single foot, generally wearing a geta.

* Karakasa appear as enemies in various video games: "Ganbare Goemon", "Demon's World", ', "Parodius Da! -Shinwa kara Owarai e-", ', "Pocky & Rocky","Ghost Online ", "" and "Ragnarok Online". In "Kirby's Dream Land 2" as well as "Kirby's Dream Land 3", the Kasa-Obake is a miniboss character called Jumpershoot.
* Karakasa along with nurikabe are portrayed in one "Azumanga Daioh" episode.
* The Karakasa was adopted by the Konan Goryo as the group's mascot upon its founding in 2004.
* Karakasa has also appeared on the volume 10 cover of the manga "Rosario+Vampire", as well as random appearances in the manga "xXxHOLiC" by "CLAMP".
