Charlie Quintana

Charlie Quintana was born in 1962, in El Paso, TX. Quintana was A drummer for the old school punk band Social Distortion, who joined in 2000 as the replacement of Chuck Biscuits (of D.O.A. and Danzig), following the death of the band's former guitarist Dennis Danell. He was present on Social Distortion's critically acclaimed comeback Sex, Love and Rock 'n' Roll (2004), and their 2007 Greatest Hits compilation. In April 2009, Quintana left Social Distortion to explore other musical opportunities, spend more time with his family.^[1][2] By the time he left, Social Distortion had already been preparing a new album to be released in 2010.^{[dated info]} The album, entitled Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes, was released on January 18, 2011, and features Josh Freese on drums.

Before joining Social Distortion, Quintana toured with the Mike Ness solo band and recorded with him on his second solo offering Under the Influences. He was also a member of 1970s punk band, The Plugz (which became the popular 1980s roots band), Cruzados, Havalinas, Izzy Stradlin & the Ju Ju Hounds, and has toured and/or recorded with Joan Osborne, John Doe, Cracker, Bob Dylan and many others. For a short time, he was a member of Agent Orange.
