Michael Austinmoore is an American rock musician. Austinmoore was born in Oceanside, California September 18, 1980. He was born to a single mother, with 4 older brothers.Michael decided to play guitar at age 9, but unable to afford one until 13. Under the urging and instruction of his life-long friend Geordie McLellan, he set out to learn how to play. At age 14 he discovered the band Primus and began playing bass.

Michael Austinmoore is the current standing bassist of VAST. Michael Austinmoore joined VAST somewhere between January and March of 2004 in replacement of Thomas Froggatt for the 2004 tour on the album Nude
