The cable-stayed portion will have three spans with lengths 192 m, 434 m and 192 m. The total cost of the project, including connecting roads, has been estimated at 3 trillion rupiah (US$320 million).Construction was started on
August 20 ,2003 . In July 2004, agirder collapsed, killing one worker and injuring nine others. Work on the bridge halted at the end of 2004 due to lack of funds, but was restarted in November 2005. As of March 2008, the bridge is 76.27% complete.References
