The Minnesota Shubert Performing Arts and Education Center is a planned development for Minneapolis, Minnesota as an incubation project by Artspace Projects, Inc. The center is expected as a three building complex holding historical buildings such as the Shubert Theater and the Hennepin Center for the Arts, which is to be accompanied by a new three-story atrium. The construction of the center is scheduled to begin in the Fall of 2008 with a goal of opening in the Fall of 2009.

The Minnesota Shubert Center will be a new flagship center for dance in Downtown Minneapolis dedicated to providing a performance, rehearsal and administrative home to more than 15 Minnesota arts organizations and educational resources statewide. This new three-building performing arts complex on Hennepin Avenue will also be the Minneapolis venue for the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. Integral to the Center’s mission is providing high-quality arts education to students throughout the State of Minnesota. The Minnesota Shubert Center is committed to linking students and artists in Greater Minnesota and the Twin Cities with Minnesota Shubert Center artists and arts organizations using Internet-based technology.

The Shubert Theatre building on Hennepin Avenue is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Education Program of the Minnesota Shubert Center began its 5th anniversary year with the 2007-08 school year. Using IP videoconferencing technologies, the Minnesota Shubert Center brings artists into classrooms throughout Minnesota, creating two-way interactive, real-time teaching environments. The other part of the program includes online "Follow the Creative Process" programs which utilize web-based technologies. The two more recent projects include Backstage Pass: The Business of a Rock Band [http://www.mnshubert.org/backstagepass] following symphonic metal bands, Epica and Visions of Atlantis on their North American Tour in September 2007 and Men in Motion: A Dance Journey [http://www.mnshubert.org/meninmotion] following the choreographic process with Sean Curran and the Zenon Dance Company.
