Cotidianul was a Romanian newspaper, published Monday to Saturday in Berliner format. Founded by Ion Raţiu, it published its first issue on May 10, 1991. It ceased publication in December 2009. The owners announced the closure was temporary due to insolvency, but no buyers have been found.[1][2][3][4][5]

Currently, Cotidianul is owned by Academia Caţavencu (50%+1 of the shares) and Regent House (50%), the latter of owned by the Raţiu family and Călin Husar.[citation needed]
