Alexandre de Pontes (1968 – 1993), also known as Xandinho, was a
Brazil ian bodyboarder, and one of the first Brazilians to have widespread international recognition in the sport. He was the first Brazilian to reach the finals on the Pipeline bodyboarding world championship event. He died in a car accident inPortugal on the way back to the airport for the returning flight toBrazil .Six time world champion
