Herzegovinians

Herzegovinians

The Herzegovinans ("Hercegovci", Херцеговци; sing. Herzegovinan, "Hercegovac", Херцеговац) are the people who hail from the Herzegovina region of Bosnia and Herzegovina and western Montenegro as well. A Herzegovinan may also go by the popular nickname of "Ero".

The region which is Herzegovina forms a part of the Dinaric Alps. Regardless of ethnicity, the ethnic groups which compose Herzegovina's population tend to identify as Herzegovinan at a regional rather than an ethno-religious level.
