2001 NFL Draft by theSan Francisco 49ers . After being used primarily as akick returner in 2001, Wilson's role in theSan Francisco offense expanded throughout the next three seasons, and Wilson posted career highs in receptions, receiving yards, and receivingtouchdowns in 2004.Pittsburgh Steelers

March 8 ,2005 , Wilson signed with thePittsburgh Steelers and has had considerably less success in the 2005 season. Wilson had become frustrated with his role as the third receiver in a Pittsburgh offense that favors rushing over passing, but became accustomed to the Steelers' style of play.Wilson's breakout for the Steelers came during the 2005 NFL playoffs. Having caught only 26 passes for 461 yards and 0 touchdowns during the regular season, Wilson became a "go to guy" on the Steelers road to
