Polish Bowling

Polish Bowling

Polish Bowling is an outdoor sport played between either two people, or two teams of either two or three people. The goal is to throw special 'polish bowling balls' onto one of three target rods, which are suspended above each other.

Gameplay

Polish bowling requires little equipment, which can be easily constructed it is also easy to set up. Generally, the rules can be tweaked based on how difficult the players want the game to be.

coring

The goal of the game is to achieve a certain number of points, which may often be set a 11, 12, or 15. These points are scored through the throwing of 'polish bowling balls', which consist of two golf ball sized balls connected with rope (somewhat resembling a bolas - for this reason, the 'polish bowing ball' could also be known as a bolas), at the scoring target. The target consists of three bars, one above the other, that have an increasing number of points. The lowest bar is worth 1 point, the middle bar is worth 2 points, and the highest bar is worth 3 points. Though one set of target bars can be used, generally, 2 different targets are used, set a chosen distance apart.

Rounds

The two players, or two teams (depending on how many people are playing), take turns throwing their three bolas at the their target. A round consists of one team/player throwing their three bolas at their target. Points for an individual round are not tallied until the end of a round. However, points earned in one round carry over from one round to the next, points earned in one round can not be lost in any following round during one particular game. Once all of the 'polish bowling balls' have been thrown, points are awarded based on what rod the bolas are hanging from. If two bolas from opposing teams are on rods of the same point value during the same round, they cancel each other out.

Winning

To win, a player or team must hit the set number of points exactly. If they go over in one particular round, even if they have thrown just one of their bolas, they go back to the score they had at the end of the previous round, and their turn is over.
